There is something about a fall Sunday that makes me want to slow down. Football is on in the background, a pot of chili is cooking, and a pumpkin candle is burning. Our family loves watching the NFL, and those simple afternoons at home are some of my favorites.
Of course, we cheer for the Detroit Lions! The kids have their jerseys on, the game is on TV, and even if we are all doing our own thing for part of the afternoon, it feels like we are spending it together. I love the excitement of a big play, but I might love the cozy routine around it even more.
